Henry Taibo joined Antares in February 2011 as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development with over 12 years of finance and strategic experience focused on the Transportation sector. Mr. Taibo oversees corporate development, capital raising, joint ventures, managing and developing additional banking/capital markets relationships and other strategic projects for Antares. Mr. Taibo most recently co-founded the Maritime & Logistics investment banking practice at Greenwich, CT based Sky Works Capital. He was previously a Principal with private equity firm Great Circle Capital from 2005-2009. While at Great Circle, Mr. Taibo made 6 direct investments totaling over $115 million of invested equity capital in companies focused on dry bulk / container shipping, offshore supply vessels (OSVs), port operations, third party logistics (3PLs), freight forwarding, supply bases seismic services. Prior to Great Circle, Mr. Taibo was a Senior Associate in New York with transportation investment bank Seabury Group from 1999-2005. At Seabury, Henry focused on providing capital raising, M&A and strategic advice to clients in the aviation, shipping, trucking, logistics and business services industries. Henry’s career originated at Dealogic in New York where he headed the M&A database group and was the firm’s primary liaison with the financial media. While at Dealogic, Mr. Taibo was an often quoted source on Equity Capital Markets and M&A deal activity.
Mr. Taibo received a B.S. degree with a dual concentration in Finance and international Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is fluent in English and Spanish and has intermediate knowledge of Prortuguese.
